THE ANGELICUM IN MILAN
The Angelicum, established by the Franciscan Father Enrico Zucca in 1939, was an important cultural center in Milan. A permanent orchestra was organized in 1941, and a recording studio began operation in 1948. Most of János Sebestyén's LPs for VOX, BAM, CBS ITALIANA and ANGELICUM were made in this studio or on the Tamburini organ in the Angelicum's concert hall; all of them engineered and produced by Thomas Gallia and Paul Déry through their company SONART. These photos of the Angelicum were taken by Marco Papi, May 2003 (above) and Arnaud Nader, July 2010 (left).
